Jon Aspital Piano Lessons in Eltham
Prince Rupert Road, Eltham
SE91LR
Tel: 07919557367
Hello! My name is Jon - I’m a professional musican working at the highest level of musical theatre in London’s West End, offering piano lessons at my home in Eltham, Lonodn.
I have been teaching piano to students of all ages and abilities since 2011. My approach to teaching is encouraging but exacting, focusing on giving each student the right practise tools to develop technique and discover new things. I enter students for ABRSM exams where desired, and have a 100% student pass rate to date. I teach music in all styles (including classical, jazz, pop) and have a very broad range of musical interests and experience.
I work as a professional pianist, conductor, and Associate Musical Director at Disney’s ‘The Lion King’, at the Lyceum Theatre in London. This is my full time ‘day job’, and allows me to work with some of the world’s finest musicans and performers on a daily basis. Students learning piano with me will benefit from working with someone performing at the highest level of musical theatre, and from the enthusiasm and passion of a West End musical director. Previous theatre productions include ‘Wicked’ (UK Tour) and ‘CATS’ (International Tour).
I trained at King’s College London, gaining a 1st Class Honours Degree in Music (BMus).
I teach on a brand new Yamaha NU1XA hybrid piano - this has the action and internal workings of an upright piano, delivering a realistic and authentic experience for the student.
I have a recent DBS certificate, and would be more than happy to show this to you upon request.
Rates for lessons are as follows:
- 30 mins: £25
- 60 mins: £40
Please do get in touch, and I’d be very happy to answer any questions!

South East London Meccano Club
Falconwood Community Centre
31-39 Falconwood Parade, Welling
SE9 DA16 2PG
Tel: 020 8856 0148
The South East London Meccano Club was formed in 1976 to give Meccano enthusiasts in the area a chance to meet and swap ideas.
We hold four meetings a year and an exhibition in the autumn. Members receive the club newsletter SELMEC News four times a year.
At the informal meetings members bring along their latest models (completed, or in whatever unfinished state they may be in at the time!) and all are given the chance to give a short talk about them. You can also buy Meccano spare parts from one of the dealers who regularly turn up.
The Annual Meccano Show (usually in October) is a one day event in Eltham, open to the public. All members are encouraged to attend - with their models of course! We also attend many other local events.
We have over 50 members of all ages, and it doesn't matter if you are an experienced modeller or someone starting with their very first set. By the way, you don't actually have to build Meccano models to join the club - although it is better that you do' the meetings would be dull otherwise - but some members prefer to collect rare parts or sets, or are interested in Meccano literature. In fact, the club is open to anyone, male or female, with an interest in Meccano.
The annual subscription is £5.00 for adults/family membership (at the same address).
If you would like more information about the club, please contact our Secretary or just turn up at one of our meetings or exhibitions. We look forward to seeing you!
