Orchard Blossom Day - 9:30 am-4:00 pm

Woodlands Farm Trust, 331 Shooters Hill, Welling

Orchards across the nation are preparing to open their gates for Orchard Blossom Day. On this day we celebrate orchards as magical places for the benefit of people and nature, places of a huge but dwindling variety of fruit trees and places in need of conservation across Britain.

Through out the day enjoy the chance to visit our orchard either by foot or on our Tractor and Trailer.

Free guided walks around our orchard will take place at 11am and 2.30pm. Tractor and Trailer rides will be happening every hour between 11am and 3pm, weather permitting. The charge for the trailer ride is £2 per person.

We will also have apple juice and some fruit trees available for sale.

Why not come and join us to discover this hidden area of Woodlands Farm and celebrate the wonderful British orchard.

My Fair Lady - 7:30 pm-10:15 pm

Bob Hope Theatre, Wythfield Road, Eltham

Lerner and Loewe’s My Fair Lady is one of the best-loved musicals of all time. Brimming with familiar songs, such as Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?, With A Little Bit of Luck and I Could Have Danced All Night, exciting dance routines and a witty script, this entertaining musical will delight audiences, both young and old.

Professor Henry Higgins, a pompous scholar of phonetics, takes up a bet with his friend Colonel Pickering that he can transform the cockney flower girl Eliza Doolittle into a lady within six months and pass her off as a duchess at the Embassy Ball.
Despite distractions from Eliza’s father, Alfred P. Doolittle; a young suitor, Freddy Eynsford-Hill; and an unfortunate episode at the races, Higgins successfully presents Eliza to society as promised.
But what of Eliza? Is she happy to be plucked from the gutter and paraded around as a lady by the unfeeling Higgins? What will become of her after the experiment is ended? ...

Book and Lyrics by ALAN JAY LERNER, Music by FREDERICK LOEWE
Adapted from George Bernard Shaw's Play and Gabriel Pascal's Motion Picture "PYGMALION". Original Production Directed and Staged by Moss Hart
This amateur production is presented by arrangement with Music Theatre International. All authorised performance materials are also supplied by MTI www.mtishows.co.uk
