The Tarn at the bottom of Court Road for a pleasant walk around the lake, see ducks, canada geese, herons, squirrels. Look at the Ice Well, which used to store the ice from the pond and used for refrigeration by the owners of Eltham Lodge, now the Royal Blackheath Golf Club House.
It is a bird sanctuary and has a Friends Group who help Royal Greenwich manage and maintain the area.
A short walk up the road and into Crossmead will take you to Fairy Hill Park.
