Eltham Choral Society Christmas Concert - 7:30 pm-9:15 pm

Holy Trinity Church , Southend Crescent , Eltham , SE9 2SD

Eltham Choral Society will be holding its annual Christmas Concert on Saturday 15th December 2018 at Holy Trinity Church, Southend Crescent, Eltham SE9 2SD.
The main work is Part 1 of Handel’s Messiah along with the Hallelujah chorus. The choir will also be singing extracts from J.S.Bach’s Christmas Oratorio and there will be carols for the choir and for audience. The concert will be conducted by our music director Max Barley and our accompanist is Andrew Lenon.
Tickets are £10.00 in advance and £12.00 on the door and are available from the box office 0208 850 3532 or from Norman’s Music Shop in Eltham. Seasonal refreshments will be available during the interval.

Join our workshop in the beautiful atmosphere of Woodlands Farm the obvious place for learning wool-craft. Make a beautiful wreath with the addition of fairy lights to give it that warm Christmassy glow. You will create the whole wreath from first principles incorporating sustainable and natural objects and needle felting. Your beautiful wreath can be adapted to be traditional or contemporary and can also adorn the table and will enhance any room at Christmas. You will also learn the fascinating craft of needlefelting.

Joining Widow Twankey, Aladdin, Wishee Washee and Abanazer are a host of characters including Cheeky Monkey, Princess Zhi Xing Well (say it out loud!) and our very own Genie and Spirit of the Ring.

Ferrier Operatic Society are organising a "Come and Sing" evening of Gilbert and Sullivan's The Mikado. Everyone is welcome to come along and sing with us, or if you don't know it, or prefer just to listen then come along as our audience.

If you want a brush up on the music then join the principals going through it in the afternoon, from 3pm, or otherwise just come along at 7pm and enjoy a sing. Early booking and group discounts.

7 for 7.30 pm. Optional sing through starts at 3pm. Tickets are £10 each (£9 for groups of 10 or more) if booked by the 27th January. On the door they are £12. Audience tickets are £5.
